HemorrhoidsMillions of people suffer from hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids are basically inflamed veins in your anus and rectum. Although it is an embarrasing topic of discussion, over half of all Americans will suffer from it by the age of 50. Common sources of hemorrhoids may be straining during bowel movement and or pressure on veins during pregnancy. Some of the common problems associated with hemorrhoids is itchiness, bleeding, and throbbing pain. When a person has hemorrhoids it can be very uncomfortable to use the restroom. Often all that is needed to reduce symptoms is to include more fiber in your diet to soften the stool. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Make sure to drink lots of water, preferably 6 to 8 glasses a day. Hemorrhoids treatment is simple. Good hygiene is important. Bathe the anus gently after each bowel movement using soft, moist toilet paper (or a commercial moist pad). Avoid a lot of wiping. If necessary, you can even use a bath or shower as an alternative to wiping. After bathing, dry the anus gently with a soft cloth or towel. If there is bleeding, you should see your doctor immediately. |
Toilet Paper can sometimes feel like sandpaper.
