Even the word hemorrhoids sounds painful. Hemorrhoids is an embarrasing subject yet millions of Americans suffer from it daily. Over 50 percent of Americans have suffered from Hemorrhoids or will suffer from it.

Our skin is a sensitive part of our body and we must treat it with care. We visit the toilet 365 days a year. And each time we use the toilet, we also use toilet paper. The next time you use the bathroom think about how many times in your life you have used toilet paper. Imagine rubbing your favorite pair of sunglasses with toilet paper even once. Then imagine rubbing those sunglasses 365 days in a year. Now imagine how many times you will use toilet paper for the remainder of your life. There is no wonder why so many people need creams or ointments.There is a much more effective and hygenic way to clean up after ourselves. The use of an electric bidet is growing in populairty exponentially. Many electric bidets make cleaning up after ourselves virtually hands free. Would you use toilet paper to clean your brand new car or would you use water?

Also prolonged sitting can also be a cause of hemorrhoids. Many people start their morning reading a book or newspaper while sitting on the toilet. This can cause strain and may be a catalyst to hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids is something that we can definitely take action to avoid. Hemorrhoids sufferers should also take steps to help ease the discomfort but more importantly take action to prevent them from reoccurring.
